Ha, that's funny, I've just started watching this! (On the basis of Mackenzie Crook and The Detectorists. Pearce Quigley seems very familiar, but I didn't recognise his name...)
I did enjoy Detectorists — although I don’t think I’ve finished the last season — and I have held forth before on Mackenzie Crook as an underrated dramatic actor, although that is not strictly relevant to this discussion. I would just like to see him in some more good roles too.
I've only watched 1 and a half eps so far, and it's quite slow build, but I like it so far, and it seems like the sort of thing that will only get better - quite slow build, rather like Detectorists.
